I believe that beauty begins when the makeup comes off, that high maintenance is the surest path to being low maintenance, and that everyone deserves to look and feel their best.
Does that sound contradictory? Being high maintenance in order to be low maintenance? It’s not! It makes complete sense and it sums up my blog perfectly.
The BeautyBlackBook blog is about all of the ways you can preserve and enhance your true beauty now, so that you don’t have to spend hours trying to fake it with gobs of make up and control panties on a daily basis. Smoke and mirrors have a time and a place – just not in our daily existence.
Why not do a little more occasionally to make your everyday life simpler, lower maintenance and still look as good as if you spent hours every day doing it? That’s the BeautyBlackBook way, ladies!
But, that’s not all. My blog is also about moderation – no one plans to look like a blow up doll but it happens. For most of my life I’ve been on a mission to take care of my skin and to preserve my youthfulness. In doing so I’ve learned, first hand, the delicate balance between aging gracefully and trying to be ageless and take my advice, it’s not always pretty.
If it’s out there, there’s a good chance I’ve tried it – some with good results and others, well not so much, but I’ve gained some invaluable insight and I’d like to share. That is what this blog is about. To keep you happy with the way you look, but without making some of the mistakes that I have.
Let me use my experiences and observations, both positive and negative, to help you navigate through the never ending list of beauty enhancing products and procedures to save you some money and hopefully share a few laughs.
