This is my second mascara article in the past couple of weeks but this discovery came quite out of the blue and is so good that I can’t keep it to myself for a moment longer! So why do I like this product so much? Well take a look at the difference between Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara and regular mascara:
It’s water-resistant when applied as directed (I just came in from a torrential downpour and I’m here to tell you it is), it’s made of natural ingredients like beeswax, carnauba wax(Brazilian palm glue) and green tea, and uses actual fibers to increases your lashes by 300%.
Now I personally have no way of measuring that but my lashes sure looked three times longer when I put it on! You can use it alone or on top of your favorite mascara for a more dramatic look. Here’s how it works.
First you curl your lashes, that’s a rule of thumb with any mascara. Then you can do one of two things – you can apply your own favorite mascara and let it dry OR you can apply a layer of transplanting gel (this is the one in the taller bottle). It looks just like regular mascara wand and goes on black.
If you choose to use your own mascara first, then after it dries you put the transplanting gel on top of that. Personally I find that the transplanting gel works fine alone but I’ve never been into those Elvira lashes.
Next, while the gel is still wet, you apply the natural fibers that are in the shorter tube. This looks a little different than regular mascara. It has like a cotton candy texture but goes on surprisingly smooth.
The fibers just grab onto the gel!
Last, after applying the fiber, you put on another coat of the gel. Make sure you don’t forget this step or otherwise you’ll be walking around with little black fibers all over your face. And Voila!
Super easy, lasts all day, and even though it’s a little pricey at $17.99, a little goes a long way. It’s a keeper in my beauty repertoire and I think that if you try the Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara, I’m sure it will be in yours as well!
